About the Author

Steven Fiorito, born on November 23, 1959, grew up in the Chicago suburbs and has been in recovery from heroin and cocaine addiction since 1987. With a Bachelor’s degree, he is a Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) and Certified Anger Management Trainer (CAMT), specializing in guiding others through addiction and recovery. An author of several impactful works, including A Calming Daily Refuge, Heroin and Opioid Addiction and Recovery for Teens and Young Adults, and Junkie Wisdom: Daily Meditations in the Raw, Steven’s writing reflects his dedication to healing. Outside his work, he’s a passionate singer-songwriter, theater actor, and hockey goaltender, channeling his creativity into music and the arts.
